Theodore Roszak, chronicler of the Baby Boom generation, dies at 77

Theodore Roszak, the author of many books including the essential 60’s tome, The Making of a Counter Culture: Reflections on the Technocratic Society, has died at age 77 after ongoing illness.

Roszak didn’t see aging as an enemy, and tracked the trajectory of baby boomer lives throughout his life and writing. In fact, in “The Ecology of Aging,” originally published in November 2007 issue of Lion’s Roar, he wrote about the “eldering” of the baby boom generation and its political and cultural implications. (His most recent book was 2009’s The Making of an Elder Culture: Reflections on the Future of America’s Most Audacious Generation.)
